From a young age, I developed a huge passion for sports. Despite not being very good at it, I simply loved any opportunity to get moving. As a teen, you could find me out playing football at my local park every single day, come rain or shine. I even recall one time when I ended up walking home with clothes that were absolutely drenched and caked in mud - my shirt was so stretched out that my mum had to throw it away and it was my favourite Arsenal footie top too! As well as football, I also loved to play basketball, rugby, and cricket. I took part in cross country running on top of this and basically any physical activity there was, I wanted to try. At 16-years-old, however, is when I found my true love, bodybuilding. I qualified as a Personal Trainer before continuing with ongoing personal development courses spanning British Weightlifting, CrossFit Level 1 & 2, NPLQ Trainer Assessor and multiple workshops taught by leading industry pros. I spent years learning and absorbing as much information as possible and it all paid off. I became a top-selling PT in the region at a large fitness chain and also an award-winning Bootcamp owner. Both of these achievements led me to open my very first fitness facility in 2012, which was a huge success! 5 training facilities later and multiple training programmes/events businesses and here I am. I love the industry just as much today as I did when I first qualified as a PT at 18 years old and couldn’t see myself in any other role. After using the contents in this book to help hundreds, if not thousands of people to become fit & healthy over the last 20 years, I feel like it’s now time for me to pass this knowledge on to help others who are eager to get fit and healthy across the world.
